New SC SO Deputy Assigned to Sierra City 090711
A new Sheriff’s Deputy has been assigned to cover crime and automobile citations in Sierra City. The Deputy’s name is Manny Kin, and he’s new to the county, though he worked a few months in Sierraville.
Deputy Kin was working Tuesday when we talked to him, he’s tight lipped and we didn’t get him to say too much.
Prospect: Tell me, Deputy Kin, do you have any kids that you know of?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: Apparently not that you’re willing to admit. Recently, the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff have agreed that, when possible, all employees will live in Sierra County. What about you, do you spend your nights here in SC?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: I see. How do you feel about your new boss, John Evans. Has he ever asked you out?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: Won’t say, huh? Is that because you’re planning a lawsuit?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: I see. Well, where do you, personally, stand on the issue of marijuana? Have you ever smoked marijuana?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: You have, haven’t you! I’ll bet you’re stoned right now, you sure seem stoned. Are you even listening to your answers? Go ahead, deny you’re stoned right now.
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: I thought so! I’ll bet you’re high on oxycodone, aren’t you? Cowboy heroin, they call it. I’ll tell you what, if you’re not high, all you have to do is say “I’m not high on anything”.
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: Man, for a cop, you’re pretty crafty. Got any political ambitions? Any ideas of running for your boss’s job?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: O.K., can you deny you’re running for your boss’s job?
Deputy Kin:
Prospect: Well, you heard it here first, as good as in his own words, Deputy Manny Kin, new comer, pill popper, and contender for the throne of Sierra County law enforcement. Welcome to Sierra County, Manny, you’ll do fine here.
