Lions Club Inducts Evans

John I. Evans was inducted into the Downieville Lions Club on Monday,

July 12, 2010.

John, Sheriff of Sierra County, arrived directly from

work and had to be sworn in while still in uniform. Normally work and

the Lion's Club are kept separate, a lesson John learned by being

besieged with law enforcement questions during dinner. John

volunteered for some committees and will be the Program Chair for the

2010-11 reign of new Downieville Lions Club President Bernie Stringer.
