SIERRA COUNTY CASES WEEKENDING June 8, 2012

 

Downieville.

 

               Gustavo Arcila (26) Loyalton.  Failure to pay fine on driving under the influence conviction.  Seven days jail, probation reinstated.

 

               Edward Biggs (51) Quincy.  Failure to appear on driving under the influence probation.  Fine $546.

 

               Dustin Strine (22) Sierra City.  Driving under the influence, under the influence of a controlled substance.  Four years probation, seven days jail, fine $2342 (converted to 208 hours of community service).  On the charge of under the influence of a controlled substance he was ordered to 90 days jail, and a fine of $2160 which was stayed  while he was referred to Proposition 36 treatment, which when successfully completed, will be permanently stayed.

 

               Aldo Perucci (46) Reno.  Sentencing on conviction of divining under the influence with a prior conviction.  Three years probation, ten days jail, fine $2532, 18 month alcohol school.

 

               James Topping (44)  Chico.  Driving while suspended, failure to appear.  Four years probation, fine $2032.

 

               Paul Landers (51) Oakley.  Violation of probation for failure to pay fine and two failures to appear on driving under the influence conviction with a prior conviction.  Sentencing continued to June 24, while he remains in custody in lieu of $10,000 bail.

 

               Daniel Cooper (43) Kings Beach.  Illegal campfire and failure to appear.  Fine $991.

 

               Kenneth Hagen (64) Loyalton.  Waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was ordered to stand trial on felony level charges of issuing a check with insufficient funds, and grand theft.

 

               Barbra Huff (51) Reno.  Unlawfully confining cats with out proper care. One year probation, fine $393.

 

               Brandon Morrow (25) Loyalton.  Failure to appear for sentencing on a conviction for being under the influence of a controlled substance.  Sentencing is scheduled for June 27, and he remains in custody in lieu of $2500 bail.
