Judical Candidates A-OK

The judical candidates are our friends

The Prospect encouraged a "get tough on judicial candidates" approach, but we didn’t mean folks shouldn’t let them on the lawn!

Everybody’s got their "lawyer story," but as a class attorneys are no worse than insurance salesmen, used car dealers or newspaper editors. The Prospect might have underestimated people’s willingness to get some skin back.

Both editors have spoken with judicial candidates and found them to be knowledgeable and generally willing to answer questions. It’s a long way to June (smart money says November), and the candidates will get up to speed as time goes by. The Prospect won’t begin to feature the JCs until mid February, unless one of the pulp rags comes out, of course.

Don’t duck if you see a judicial candidate with her or his hand out headed your way, this is our chance to express our concerns and find out how each would approach those concerns. Go ahead and shake that hand. (OK, if it makes you feel better, go ahead and count your fingers after.)
