Governator vs Feds

Arnold and the feds slap it out:

Obama:
Why should we give you anything?

Arnold:
Because we’re freakin’ California!

Governor Schwarzenegger has gone to the feds claiming that California only gets .78 out of every dollar back. He wants more money and says that if the feds don’t kick in an additional $7 billion California kids will be starving and getting sick or worse. He stopped just short of saying, "let this be on your heads". He complained that California’s representatives haven’t been working hard enough to get the Feds to give the state a fair share.

The Feds, including our elected Feds, have not been kind, for the most part. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Tulare) called the Governator "silly", and Dianne Feinstein (D-California), said Arnold was not being "constructive" with his demands.

California, even though it is now old, wrinkled and tired as Arnold is himself, is still a lion to be reckoned with, and so is Arnold. The state still commands 13% of the U.S. economy, and if an independent nation would have the 7th or 8th largest economy in the world.
Should Arnold threaten to follow Vermont's lead and secede from the union?

Will Arnold’s foot stamping and bitching get us more money? If it does, we’ll send Lee Adams to stamp in Arnold’s office.
