Loyalton Particulate Matter Reduction Plan

Purpose of Plan: To identify and address all sources of particulate matter in the Loyalton Area and recommend final action to reduce particulate matter deposits. The Plan will be developed with input from Loyalton residents.

Part One: Particulate Matter

    • Small/inhalable particles (10 microns and less)  

    • Large/non-inhalable particles (greater than 10 microns in diameter)

To identify and address all sources of particulate matter in the Loyalton Area and recommend final action to reduce particulate matter deposits. The Plan will be developed with input from Loyalton residents.

 Objective One: Explore Current Sources of Particulate Matter, Magnitude, and Type of PM

Objective Two: Identify Opportunities for PM reduction (quantify reduction when/where possible)

Objective Three: Identify Health/Cost Benefits of PM Reduction
